Introduction of Sanya City
Sanya with its ancient name Yazhou is located in the southernmost part of China at 18.9”ć--18.37”ćnorth latitude and 108.56”ć--109.48”ćeast longitude, same north latitude as Hawaii of America.
The city covers 1919 sq kms. and has 445,000 populations. Sanya has a maritime climate, with the annual temperature being 25.5 degrees centigrade and the annual rainfall being at about 1450 millimeters, which is lasts from May to October.
Sanya has more than 30 kinds of minerals such as titanium, coal, granite, marble, phosphorus,
tin, zinc, and gold; Yuya salty plant is one of the largest salty industry in Hainan. While the
western sea areas contain abundant oil and gas. There are various seafoods, such as shark
fin, abalone, sea cucumbers, lobster, butterfish, sea snake and etc. Thereinto the ??Shark fin, sea
cucumbers and abalone are called ”°Yazhou san zhen”± Tropical fruits include coconuts, bananas, mangos, watermelons, cantaloupes and so on. products include coral flowers, shells, hawksbill turtle shells, and coconut shell carved handicrafts.
