25 kilometers away from Yalong
Bay, Turn-around Deer Park is located in the
crescent shaped Sanya Bay. There stands in
the park a 12-meter-tall, 9-meter-long, and
4.6-meter-wide sculpture: An Eldi¡¯s deer is
turning back its head. A handsome young hunter
of the Li nationality and a pretty Li girl
are standing on either side. This granite
sculpture, with a special legend and graceful
design, is the largest of its kind on Hainan
Island. With the huge sculpture in the center,
the surrounding 2-meter area is included in
this hilltop park. From the summit of the
mountain, you can look over all of Sanya City
and Two Hawksbill Turtle Island, and appreciate
the sunrise and sunset over the sea.
In the park, a winding path leads guest to
quiet seclusion. Along the mountain path,
you will find the Halley Comet Observation
Station, white Tide Pavilion, red Sea View
Pavilion and a romantic Lover¡¯s Island. In
addition, there is Monkey Mountain, Deer Shed,
Li Nationality House, Turtle Paradise and
the Fish Pool. It is very enjoyable and relaxing
to walk through this these paths. |
